Hi! We are Alfie & Jodie Amadeus, a married couple from England who’ve been travelling together since 2013. We fell in love with travel after a summer spent island-hopping in Greece, and have since spent time in Thailand, India, Morocco, China, Vietnam and many more countries. 

The first place we lived outside of the UK was Shanghai, where we both taught English as a foreign language. We fell in love with the lifestyle, and ended up living there for two years in total. However, we both felt that teaching was not something we could continue doing forever, and we decided to return to the UK in 2019 knowing that we would end up travelling again soon.

Upon our return to the UK, the COVID-19 pandemic began. Our normal work routines were completely changed, and we began to work entirely from home. Though this put our travel plans on hold, it also helped us realise that we could become ‘digital nomads’, travelling the world while working remotely. 

It wasn’t until March 2024 that this idea became a reality and we set of on our first big ‘workation’ – a 6-month trip travelling across India (This trip soon extended to over 12 months travelling the world – we just didn’t want to go home!). During this trip, we realised that online resources for digital nomads were scarce, so we decided to do something about it, and Uncharted Workspace was born! We do everything we can to make your workation as easy and straight-forward as possible. Whether it’s finding the best places to work, tips and tricks to make your work day that little bit easier or giving you advice on essentials for working remotely, you can count on us to bring you up-to-date guidance to make the most out of your trip.
